Today is day one for many reasons. My nephew turns the big 21, it’s the first day of a new month, and my very first blog post at KP Events and Consulting. The conception of KP Events and Consulting has been a long journey. I’ve wanted to start this business for several years but the timing never felt right. Well the timing feels perfect and I’m jumping in the pond and so excited to be kicking off the start of this new adventure.
My first love in life is Motherhood. It’s a role I cherish and take much pride in. When I decided to take this big leap into event planning and consulting I was worried my children would think it would take time away from them, well they both along with my husband, have been so very encouraging and supportive. My son said “how cool that you find a job that you love and we all know how much you love to plan parties.” Well with their stamp of approval KP Events and Consulting became the newest member of our family.
While creating the foundation of KP Events I wanted to have a side kick that I trusted and respected. I could not have picked a better person…Lauren. Lauren and I “met” on an adoption chat board back in 2006. We were both starting the process of adopting a child from Ethiopia. We “chatted” for a few months and then our families finally met. I knew from that first moment of meeting Lauren that she would become one of my most cherished friends. We had so much in common, both went to nursing school in Montana, love the outdoors, being with friends and family and always giving back to others. We co founded a non profit together and created a yearly signature event that grew from 86 guests to 425 guests. We work together as a team and each bring to the table our creativity and talent.
Thank you for joining on his new adventure. If your looking for a team to help you build your fundraising event or private party we would be honored to help you. Visit us here.
